& Methodology
Learning
by doing
Learners practice our reader-centered writing process
by applying it to their on-the-job documents during workshops.
They learn through a lively, practical combination of
- individual coaching
- job-related writing practice
- exercises and games
- group problem solving
- mini-lectures
- discussions.
Tailored workshops
The instructor tailors each workshop to both the group’s
and each learner’s needs based on
- individual goals
- common group documents
- interviews with the workshop sponsor
- a reader-focused process applicable to any document.
The Document Analysis and Rating Tool (DART)™
(Not introduced in short workshops.)
To truly change, learners must internalize document-quality
criteria. By using the DART to know and recall what
success looks like, they learn to “own” this vision
of quality documents.
